Why would Winnepeg trade Buff, Ladd, AND Kane? Thats pretty much their ticket sales right there. |

As nice as it would be for Anaheim to have players like Vanek or Miller, I really don't want to see them pay the price that it would take to get these "rentals". I'd rather see them get a few character guys like Ott or Smyth that won't cost them more than a 2nd rounder and/or a prospect. |

On Vanek....
Gotta wonder how healthy he was, because he really wasn't much of a factor today for the Austrians. The Preds may be getting in on him I am told, but I still believe Anaheim is the team to beat here...
- Eklund
Why? They are not making the playoffs, and Vanek wouldn't re-sign there. Makes no sense. |

I don't see why Detroit would be in for Ladd. The Red Wings are deep in the Wings, if anything we need a solid center right now with Franzen concussed, and both Datsyuk and Zetterberg both harboring lingering injuries. Unless Ladd is a pure goal scorer or the pivotal difference maker (which, he is neither), don't see the reasoning behind this. |

Unless Minn trades for him, most teams know Vanek will hit the FA market, so pretty much every or any team knows that.... |

Don't watch too many Oiler games, but I seen the Devils/Oilers game. Yakupov's play when he didn't have the puck is laziest thing. He would just stand there like the whistle had gone while play was going on.
I feel for Eakins because he is supposed to find a way to get him going.
If I was the Oilers, I would sell high now. |

Maybe Buff cause he only 2 full years left on his deal. Plus the Jets have depth on D in Enstrom, Bogo, Trouba and Morrissey in the system. Kane is to young to move and Ladd is their captain. I thought the Rangers were the only ones foolish enough to move their leader |

If they traded for Vanek I would be beyond mad. I also would hate to see them trade for Ladd. Great player but by the time the Predators are once again able to make it past the first round, Ladd will be in his thirties. I'd rather see them take the first round draft pick they would be giving for him (among other things) and try to develop from within. |

Winnipeg isn't trading their core group. With Vancouver in a tail spin & the Jets playing well since the coaching change very little will happen in Winnepeg until the off season. If anything they are buyers at the deadline.
Now in the off season I can see them moving Buff when the Jets can shop him to the entire league. Pretty 1 dimensional & with Enstrom, Bogosian & Trouba the return for Buff could be substantial enough to justify moving him.
As for Kane he only moves if he demands a trade which may happen but the foundation in Winnipeg is something solid.
Ladd, Little, Wheeler.
Kane, Scheifele, Frolik.
That's a solid top 6. Shuffle them anyway you want. With the 3 Dman mentioned above & the potential return for Buff the future looks bright for the Jets. |

Yak & Gagner won't get you a Murray. You had a shot at Murray but passed. A huge mistake. |

If you have Frolik in you're top 6 than might as well call yourself the Florida Panthers. |
